Jim Deason | Jim began preaching early in life while growing up in Walker County, AL. He and his wife Paige have been married for over 40 years. They have three children: Melissa, David and Wiley. All three and their spouses faithfully serve the Lord while David and Wiley followed in their father’s footsteps to preach the gospel. Jim and Paige presently have eleven grandchildren. Jim has done most of his local church work among churches in Middle Tennessee but, in 2006, moved back to his home state and Cullman to work with the South Cullman church. In the summer of 2010 he was appointed to also serve as one of her elders. He has also made several preaching trips to the Russian speaking countries of Kazakhstan and Ukraine. He is responsible for having translated and published two works in the Russian language: Bob and Sandra Waldron’s History and Geography of the Bible and Ferrell Jenkin’s, The Early Church. In addition to local work and preaching several gospel meetings each year, Jim serves as Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of and contributor to Biblical Insights. Biblical Insights is a nationally circulated paper edited by Wilson Adams. Jim is also author of two study volumes on The Life of Christ in the new Discovering God’s Way study series edited by Robert Harkrider. |
Jarred McCrary | Jarred began his work with the South Cullman congregation in July 2020. He and his wife Katie have been married since June 2013 and have three daughters - Madison, Callie, and Emma. Jarred preached for a number of years as a 'fill-in' preacher while working in the automobile business. In July 2014, he began preaching full time. Prior to his arrival at South Cullman, Jarred preached for two years in Ridgeway, VA, and for four years in Belgreen, AL. |
Jacob Black | Jacob Black began as a preacher intern in June 2021. Jacob is a native of Lakeland, FL and is married to Annie. |
